Day 5: BPC-157 Only, NSAID Rebound Continuing, Stairs Getting Easier

Day 5. BPC-157 solo injection. NSAID withdrawal still rough in the morning, but body is warming up faster and stair function is improving.

Day 5. August 12th, 2026. Arizona.

BPC-157 only today. TB-500 is twice a week during the loading phase — next dose is due in a few days.

Injection — morning:

  • BPC-157: 10 units (500mcg), subcutaneous, right of navel — ~2 inches from yesterday's TB-500 site

Continuing to rotate. Letting yesterday's site rest.

Breakfast:

  • Bacon and eggs
  • Kombucha
  • Red seedless grapes

Supplements — same morning stack as Day 4: Fish oil (1), potassium (3), beetroot (1), chelated copper (1), vitamin C (1), aspirin (2 × 325mg), ashwagandha (1 serving), NAD+ (2 caplets), NMN (2 caplets), magnesium glycinate (1), zinc picolinate (1), turmeric/curcumin (4), TMG (1), D3+K2 (1), NUSAVA B-complex liquid (1 dose — B12/B6/B1 + niacin + folate confirmed).

Dinner:

  • 6 oz steak
  • 1 full avocado
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes
  • Pistachios
  • Sprouted pumpkin seeds
  • 12 oz coconut water
  • Kombucha
  • 1 Cuties Mint Chip Ice Cream Sandwich (small — 8 per 12 oz box)

Wound status:

Wound appearance unchanged. Same as yesterday. No regression, no obvious improvement yet — it's Day 5. Not expecting visible change this early.

Pain and function — NSAID discontinuation, Day 5:

The pattern is becoming clear. First hour of the morning is rough — lower back hurts, both legs hurt, walking is difficult. The body wakes up stiff and inflamed, and without the ibuprofen and naproxen that were previously blunting all of it, there's nowhere for that signal to hide.

But after about an hour of movement — stretching, getting up and around, a short walk — the body warms up significantly. Function improves. Pain becomes manageable. That's a meaningful distinction from just being in constant pain: there is a warm-up curve now, and it's working.

The concrete marker: walking down stairs is easier today than it was on Day 4. That's not a feeling — that's a functional improvement. Noting it.

Still not taking ibuprofen, naproxen, or acetaminophen. Two aspirin only. The plan holds.

The pain right now is the pain that was always there, running underneath the NSAID load. It was being chemically suppressed every day. Now the body is processing it. The inflammation signaling that BPC-157 and TB-500 need to work is no longer being blocked. That's the trade — short-term discomfort in exchange for letting the repair mechanisms actually function.

Monitoring closely. Stair function is the benchmark I'm watching.
